Late Shri Appannagouda Patil

Late Shri Appannagouda Patil, born on 20-03-1899 in an agrarian family, was a freedom fighter, social reformer, co-operative revolutionist, real statesman and a visionary who strived hard to bring higher education and industries to the rural region. At the time when he envisioned higher education was only limited to the district centers. By his sheer non-selfish attitude, he served the poor society for upbringing and improving their status of life. He died on 23-10-1974.
